The Hermit Seeker

And you thought the Ultimate Darkstar was big.

So here's a photo that I dug up from this summer. Back in September, the two rocketry clubs in the area, MMMSC and CMASS, were invited to display rockets at the Sanford Jet Rally at the Sanford airport in Maine. We also had a demonstration area where we were allowing kids to fly Estes crayon rockets on A motors provided by AMWProX, the regional rockery vendor. Robert DeHate, the owner of ANWProX, had this rocket attached to trailer. The Hermit Seeker is a 1 foot diameter rocket that stands 16 feet tall. It has flown four or five times on 6" diameter O motors that Robert made himself.

And to give another comoarison, the motor that Robert usually to fly this is a full 41,000Ns O motor. That's 17,826 times more powerful than your standard Estes A motor.
